The attacker stepped up on stage and started saying "You're done, you're done" while holding one of those two finger rigid plastic, tow finger knuckle tools with spike designed to look like cat ears that are usually marketed to women. Zeldin grabbed the guys arm to control the weapon for several moments until several rally supporters jumped on stage and tackled the guy

When interviewed after the incident, Zeldin stated that the attacker would probably be released within hours without bail due to New York's current bail laws.

Gov . Katherine Hochul made the usual "Violence like this has no place in New York" comment.
I'm just wondering if the guy would have been released without bail if she had been the intended target.
