St. Elizabeth Hospital Followup

The following is courtesy of J.D.S.

Several important therapeutic techniques were pioneered at St. Elizabeths, and it served as a model for later institutions.[6] Carl Jung, for example, studied African-American patients at St. Elizabeths to examine the concept of race in mental health. Walter Freeman, onetime laboratory director, was inspired by St. Elizabeths to pioneer the transorbital lobotomy.[13] During American involvement in World War II, the Office of Strategic Services (OSS, predecessor to the CIA) used facilities and staff at St. Elizabeths hospital to test "truth serums". OSS unsuccessfully tested a mescaline and scopolamine cocktail as a truth drug on two volunteers at St. Elizabeths Hospital. Separate tests of THC as a truth serum were equally unsuccessful.

How Apropos!

You Really CAN'T Make This Stuff Up. Don't these idiots have enough public relations problems (as well all the other ones) without doing something like this.

Another "Interesting" Day At Work.

This is the first sign you see on the entrance gate of the Switching Station I went to yesterday. The station is home to both rattlesnakes, and copperheads.

This is how I spent the anniversary of my 40 years of service with the company. They should probably put that sign on the door of the Board of Directors who run the company these days.

I love having a desk job! LOL!!

The Wonder Of Modern Technology

It never ends, If you check out the 2nd or 3rd commenter after the article, you'll see the real problem here. As he says, if the government tried to do this , everybody would scream. Hoever if a business does it, and offers you a discount on the useless crap that you're in the store to buy, people will lap it up.
