The Slippery Slope Part 2

Again, as I stated a few weeks back, this is the type of thing that gets out of hand if the people in charge are of a different "attitude" than yourself.

US Medical Response To BioTerror

Ever wondered just how well prepared the US to respond as regards to providing medical assistance to its citizens in the event of a major Biological or Chemical event? Or for that matter to any large scale disaster or terrorist incident?

Well, it's not going to be quite what you think it is.

The Slippery Slope Gets Steeper

On the surface, I can easily see some aspects of why this would be a good thing for LEO's. On the other side of the coin though, I can also see where this could easily be abused.

Remember, any time a law is passed that grants the Security & Law Enforcement communities some new ability to go get the "Bad Guys", it's usually only a matter of time until a shift in the prevailing govmnt.'s way of thinking allows them to go after the people that the new official bosses deem to be a "problem".

Which could potentially be you, simply because the new guys in charge dislike you, just as much as you dislike them.

New Law Passed, Back To The Future..

And mind you, this was sponsored and introduced by a Repub.

 http://globalguerrillas.typepad.com/globalguerrillas/2012/03/hr-341-neo-feudal-rights-bill-.html

GlobalGuerilla's is always worth a visit folks. Is John Robb overstating the "unintended consequence" of this bill? As he states, once a law is passed, just a word or two in it's makeup can allow it to be twisted to suit the need of those who are able to use it to their own advantage. In NYC, they originally banned detachable magazines over 5 rounds. However, the same law with no changes to the language whatsoever is used to restrict any magazine, even if it's affixed to the firearm. Lever action, Pump, Bolt. The slippery slope continues.......
