Want To Learn A Truly Practical 'Self Defense' Technique?

Spend some time taking a first aid course, a CPR course, a AED/Defibrilator course, and now apparently, after decades of calling it a method of last resort, learn how to use a a tourniquet. The medical field has, after exhaustive studies done as a result of the military actions in Iraq and Afghanistan over the last decade, reversed themselves about the dangers of tourniquet use.
Gunshot, knife and shrapnel wounds aside (although recent terrorist events within the US are certainly set to change that) you are still likely to be involved in an accident of some sort that could potentially involve trauma induced massive bleeding. Knowing how to handle a situation such as that could make the difference between you or someone else bleeding to death.
