Kudos to the DOJ and FBI for operations that worked.
Firstly, the FBI managed to digitally track and recover half the Ransomware paid by the Colonial, XL Pipeline Company to the hackers that got into their system;

And secondly, the DOJ ran a sting operation that involved setting up their own Encrypted Messaging Service that tricked Multiple International Crime Cartels into running their ill-gotten gains through the Fake Federal App. The sting resulted in;
More than 800 suspects were arrested and more than 32 tons of drugs seized, including cocaine, cannabis, amphetamines and methamphetamines. Police also seized 250 guns, 55 luxury cars and more than $148 million in cash and cryptocurrencies. An indictment unsealed Tuesday in San Diego named 17 foreign distributors charged with racketeering conspiracy.
