Cane/Stickfighting Seminar At The Dungeon - Nov 2009

Wow, has it really been 9 years since this Seminar? Time really does go by in the blink of an eye.

Anyway, just a few snippets from what was quite a bruising experience at the time. Ralph G took the lead of course with Clint taking over at the end for some Old School JiuJitsu Chokes & Strangles. Ah yes, a fun time was had by all!

Except for the guys who volunteered to be the Demonstration Ukes........

Here we have a demo of using a stick for a rather painful neck hold restraint by using the stick to press against the back of the neck while the Radial bone of the right forearm digs into the carotid. Call it stand-up stickgrappling if you will.

This is another example of stand-up stickgrappling that involves using the cane as a lever for a takedown. Let it be known that there was no padding on the cement floor in that area, and that my landing was less than graceful.

And here we have two hearty souls working on basic two-handed strikes using what Ralph calls a Kendo grip.

Just some blasts from the past for your edification everybody. Hope you enjoyed it.
