Two "Protestors From The May 2020 George Floyd Riots In NYC Convicted

The Wheels Grind Slowly, But Slowly they Grind.

Two incidents, though Molotov cocktails thrown at NYPD vehicles in both cases, were separate incidents.  The first case involved  a woman who threw a Molotov cocktail at a parked Police van containing 4 officers. The improvised firebomb broke two windows but did not break and ignite. The officers jumped out of the van and arrested her on the spot.

The woman initially had tried get a friend to go down to the protest/riot with her but declined. He did however supply the empty bottles that she used. He was later arrested and stated that he thought the bottles would be used  to be thrown at Police, not as firebombs. At the time of the incident I remember when this case hit the news that the bottles were beer bottles. The thick glass most likely being the reason they did not ignite.  The friend is still being tried and is facing a 5 year sentence.

The second case involves two LAWYERS who threw Molotov cocktails at a parked, unoccupied NYPD car. Those improvised firebombs did ignite. Both were caught at the scene, but this case only applies to the woman involved, her accomplice is not mentioned. She was sentenced to 15 months as the result of a Plea deal (most likely because the vehicle was unoccupied at the time). While not mentioned in the article, NY State law mandates her disbarment as a Lawyer.

Her accomplice in the firebombing attack, Colinford Mattis also agreed to a Plea deal and is to be sentenced this December
