Families Stand Up to Local School Board and Win

Local school board had the unmitigated gall top suspend two students for legally going to a gun range on their own time. But their families and others whose kids weren't even involved made a stink and set the local school board and their Zero Tolerance policy back a few notches.

The Single Most Important Legacy Trump Can Leave

We can talk about the economy, foreign policy, gun control, abortion, etc., ad nauseum, ad infinitum. We can talk about elections and what the politician vote for or against, but in the end, everything in this country eventually ends up in the courts.

When Trump was elected there were close to 200 unfilled Federal Judiciary seats open. Two terms of of both Bush and Obama having their selections stymied by their respective adversarial parties had created this logjam. Since coming into office Trump has filled 64 of these positions. There are currently another 130+/- positions waiting to be filled.

With mid-term elections coming up in 7 months and only a narrow majority that can easily be changed in the Senate, the opportunity for getting all these positions filled is narrowing. Should the Dems take control of the Senate they will no doubt do everything they can to prevent any conservative judges from being appointed. This would leave Trump only one option, to make a record number of recess appointments when the Senate recesses in 2019. Obama made 32 recess appointments during his tenure in the White House, and that wasn't even close to the record set by Ronald Reagan(232 appointments).

No matter what else he may or may not accomplish during his time in the White House, by filling as many of the open Judicial seats as possible, Trump will throw a major setback into the Dems and their supporters plans for a generation at the very least.

Oh yeah, that and the banning of online knife sales and home deliveries are really going to make a dent in London's knife crime rate. With murders exceeding those of NYC the current administrations are desperate to reassure Londoners that all will be well.
