The Global Warming Expedition Debacle - A Followup

Well they finally threw in the towel and called for help. The thicker than normal Antarctic ice has prevented them from obtaining the scientific evidence they need to prove that the polar ice cap is melting!!!

These people are the gift that keeps on giving. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.....

Score: EPA 'Zero', American Gun Owners 'One'

Another back door attempt to screw American gun owners appears to have failed. More stringent rules by the EPA that would have shut down the largest what is referred to as a "primary" lead smelter, will not result in lead shortages for ammunition manufacturers.
Apparently on 3% of the lead used in the production of bullets comes from the Herculaneum (yes, that's really the name of the place) smelter. Even I was unaware that most lead used in the manufacture of bullets come from recycled lead taken from used batteries.

Who knew??

Welcome To The Brave New World

Read a history book. It always starts off with fighting crime, or defending your country. In the end, it always comes down to this.

More Bad News For OPEC

within the next 10 years the U.S.A is set to become a major exporter of energy resources.

Combined with some infighting among the OPEC cartel, this should work out to be good for the U.S., and bad for the Middle East as their dominance in energy business begins to wane. Brazil is poised to blow past Venezuela and Mexico, and Russia essentially has a stranglehold on natural gas supply to Europe. At this point, The Middle East needs to hope that the Chinese economy doesn't slow down, otherwise the price of a barrel of crude is going to take a noticeable beating.

In terms of geopolitical alignments, things are going to get very interesting.
